  MOJO ADOPTED 2017
Mojo lived with a pack of 14 dogs.  Sadly he was repeatedly attacked by one dog in the pack and this fueled the other pack members to do the same.  For his safety it was decided to remove Mojo from this environment.  Mojo was taken to our foster mother in JHB where he was rehabilitated and assessed.

Mojo is a kind loveable Bouvier.  Loves attention and was found not to be aggressive with other dogs, loves children and showed no interest in cats.  The search for the perfect family started.

On the 26th July 2016 Mojo started his journey a new life.  He was adopted by a loving family in Cape Town.  With kind fur-children he has adapted quickly in his new surroundings and is showered with love and afection.   HAPPY DAYS Mojo.

JESSIE ADOPTED 2017
Jessie's family had to relocate, so she needed to find a new loving home.  Jessie being a robust girl with loads of energy needed just the right home.  She now has a loving home where her new mom and dad know the Bouvier Breed very, very well.  She has needed some house training as she was an outside doggie so never trained.  She has some great fur-friends, Bouvier brother and sister to teach her.  Happy days Jessie your new life has begun.

JAPIE
Japie was living alone on a farm.  Bouviers love their family and have to be close to them.  Japie was looking for a new home.  He was taken to a foster family and from there was put on a plane to his new home in Bloemfontein.  His new life with a new family has begun.

BUDDY

Not much is known about Buddy's past life.  What we do know is that he bears the scars of being beaten and abused.  These scars are both physical and emotional.  Bouvier Rescue works closely with Wollies Rescue Project in Pretoria.  When a Bouvier comes in for rescue we are informed.  So it was with Buddy, he arrived at Wollies neglected and afraid.   There was no way that Buddy could be placed in any home until he was fully assessed and rehabilitated.  He was placed with our foster mother in JHB.
His first night at his foster home he had to be carried into the house, as Buddy had never been in a home before.  He slept next to his foster mom on a comfortable bed on the floor.  Buddy had never seen a human on a bed before.  Slowly Buddy developed trust in his human foster mother and it was not long before he jumped up onto the bed to cuddle up beside her.  Sudden movements would cause Buddy to cringe.  The first few days he would run out of the house and find a corner outside to hide.  It has taken a long time for Buddy to accept all the changes around him.  Buddy accepted the family dogs and soon started playing with them.  In this normal loving family environment Buddy started to thrive.  The twinkle in those big brown eyes slowly started to return.
After 6 month of rehabilitation Buddy was ready to find his new family.  After many applications for adoptions we found the family for him.  Buddy was flown down to Cape Town to his new family.  He now is happy, content and loved by his new owners, who know the breed and understand what Buddy has been through.  He has Nancy also a Bouvier as a companion.  Buddy is now a happy Bouvier.  What a special boy he is.  After all he has been through he still loves, trusts and wants to please.  He is very fond of his families grandchildren.
We wish him and his new family love and happiness for years to come

TRISHA NOW CALLED SASHA

TRISHA NOW SASHA

The image above is truly true.  Sasha was taken out of the darkness and by the loving hand of her new family brought into the light.  This poor girl was used for indiscriminate breeding and very much abused physically and emotionally.  A very special family with knowledge of the Bouvier breed adopted Sasha.  Sasha who had never seen the inside of a home was very traumatised.  She is still undergoing rehabilitation with her new family.  She has serious behavioural issues, with the help of her patient new loving, understanding family and a behaviourist Sasha is improving each day.
We have regular reports from her new family and keep up to date on her progress.  We pray and hope that Sasha with love, care and understanding will become the Bouvier she was born to be.  We have so much respect for her new family who are doing everything possible to help Sasha find her real self.  We salute you.
Sasha's post will be updated as she progresses so stay tuned.

SHARLA

Sharla was just unwanted!  This gorgeous one year old Bouvier just was too much effort for the owners.  We know all pups are lively and naughty when growing up?  When you buy a pup you surely know it's going to be at least two years of training,  patience and love!  Sharla's only crime was she is a busy little girl, who needed lots of attention, training and love.  Of course one of the big issues of owning a Bouvier is the grooming factor.  You need to comb!  We mean comb out not just brush over the top of your Bouvies coat at least once a week.  This deemed to much effort for her previous owners.    So they did not want her anymore, so sad.   Well Sharla found the perfect home with Bouvier owners who know the commitment needed to care for this beautiful breed.  Sharla is homed in JHB with a wonderful family and three other Bouvier playmates.  She is developing into a wonderful girl.

OZZIE
This is Ozzie.  His owner became very ill and could not keep him.  He is a friendly fellow and a very good watch dog.  He is the boss of his new home and rules the premises.  He goes jogging with his dad on a regular basis to keep his new dad fit as a fiddle.  He flew down to Cape Town early in 2016.  He is love and cared for, in return is a loyal companion and guardian.  Happy days Ozzie.

ZAHARI
Zahari was found on the streets of Pretoria.  In a terrible condition with mange, swollen bleeding feet, a walking skeleton and no will to live.  How long he had been roaming the streets we have no idea.  The fact that no one was looking for him we find incomprehensible.  He was named Zahari by his foster mother. "Zahari means GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN"   He was taken to Wollies Animal Project where he was treated for all his wounds, mange and  when well enough neutered, vaccinated.  Bouvier Rescue then took Zahari to his foster mother.  There in a family environment other fur-children to socialize with and tender loving care from his foster family, Zahari started to blossom.  When he was strong enough the search for the perfect family started.  Zahari needed a very special forever home.  One where he would be understood, and showered with love.  In early 2016 Zahari flew to Port Elizabeth to join his new family.  In the months that passed Zahari found  new life, hope and a wonderful future.  He is now again a bouncing Bouvier.  Gone is the void expression in his lifeless eyes, replaced with a twinkle,  Bouvier pride and energy.  He is one happy boy!

Marley and Ace
Marley and Ace needed a new home as their owners where relocating to New Zealand.  They needed to be homed together.  Marley and Ace are now happily homed in JHB with a new loving family to love and care for them.  Happy Days Marley and Ace.

CLOE now Lizzy

Cloe was found in a township with a badly fractured right front leg. Fora Rescue assisted and looked after Lizzy while we could find her a loving forever home.   Sadly the leg had to be amputated but this did not stop Lizzy from being a happy Bouvie. She was adopted by a wonderful family and is a happy girl. She is undergoing swimming therapy to strengthen her muscles.  She is a loveable feisty girl and plays with her new doggy brothers and sisters.  What a wonderful family! Thank you for adopting Lizzy.
